University Announcements

Preparing for TouchNet disruption

As previously announced, the University’s campuswide billing and payment system, TouchNet, will be temporarily unavailable beginning July 1 for system upgrades. Here are new updates and reminders:

  • TouchNet will be back online July 21 (not July 14, as previously announced).
  • An all-campus email will be sent when the system is back online.
  • Please view your billing information or make any needed adjustments today before the services are inaccessible
  • Fall semester billing statements will be generated in late July, as normal, and students will receive an email to log into TouchNet to make payments.

The disruption is necessary to complete updates related to the transition to a new OneSIS Banner information system. For more information, contact Student Accounts at 724.738.2088 or students.accounts@sru.edu.

OneSIS transition updates

The transition to SRU’s OneSIS Banner for its student information system continues. Please be aware of the following updates and reminders:

  • Spring 2025 grades have now been migrated to OneSIS Banner.
  • OneSIS degree audits should now reflect courses with Spring 2025 grades.
  • Student degree information will be migrated to OneSIS Banner the week of Aug. 18.
  • All students will be transitioning to a student ID number that starts with “P.” All students will be assigned a completely new ID number, which the student can view in the MySRU profile.
  • D2L course shells for the Fall 2025 term will be available in the coming weeks.
  • The parent proxy and authorized user portal is temporarily unavailable in OneSIS.

More information is available on the OneSIS FAQ section on the Academic Records webpage.

SRU website updates are underway

Work continues on refreshing the SRU website. Incremental improvements throughout the summer include:

  • A new academic program finder and standardization of program names with the academic fact sheets.
  • Redesigned headers and footers to improve navigation.
  • Showcasing campus culture with more images and videos on page-specific content.
  • Improved mobile responsiveness.
  • Streamlined content access and improved readability.

This initiative follows the launch of the Rocky-bot AI chat assistant that improves access to information and is in preparation for a new onsite search function and brand launch in September. These outcomes are part of the Web User Experience assessment conducted by Carnegie Higher Education and are being carried out by the University Marketing and Communication and Enrollment Management divisions. The assessment was informed by qualitative interviews with campus stakeholders, a survey of nearly 400 prospective and current students, and a qualitative review of 16 marketing-critical pages, including heatmap analysis.

  • Sign up for a volunteer shift on the SRU WOW Volunteer webpage.
