Hispanic Heritage Month Panel: Music as Resistance to Violence

Join Esmeralda Bodón and Vern Miller for a conversation exploring the role of Hispanic music as a source of resilience, empowerment and resistance to domestic violence. In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the discussion will highlight how music and cultural expression can give voice to difficult experiences, build community, and support healing. Hosted by SRU’s Hispanic Cultures Committee and the Office for Campus Climate and Culture, this event will conclude with a Q&A.
