Five recent alumni from Slippery Rock University’s strategic communication and media program received a Renaissance Award presented by the Public Relations Society of America Pittsburgh Chapter, Jan. 25, at the Fairmont Hotel in Pittsburgh.
Jocelyn Buhite, ’22; Leah Skaryak, ’22; Emma Stevenson, ’23; Jensen Troy, ’23; and Abigail Waterman, ’22, received the Renaissance Award for their contributions to a campaign they made as SRU students, led by Allison Peiritsch, a SRU associate professor of strategic communication and media. The alumni created a research-driven campaign proposal and comprehensive, implementation-ready materials to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania’s STEM programming.
