Slippery Rock University was voted “Best University” and “Best Continuing Education” by readers of Pittsburgh Parent magazine, which published the winners of its 2025 Best for Families Awards in its July edition.

Each year, readers of Pittsburgh Parent magazine cast their votes in various categories for the “Best for Families Awards.” The “Best Continuing Education” and “Best University” awards encompass the best college overall in the Greater Pittsburgh area and the best for offering flexible continuing education opportunities for those with a family or children.

Pittsburgh Parent is a monthly magazine founded in 1988 and provides information and resources for families in the Greater Pittsburgh area.
