A series of collaborative events on the topic of cybersecurity, featuring top forward-thinking industry experts, is happening at Slippery Rock University in April. SRU’s Center for Cybersecurity and Advanced Computing invites the public to attend the following events:
- Information Session: Risk Management and an Effective Cybersecurity Program with Randall Trzeciak, April 9, 12:30-2 p.m., Advanced Technology and Science Hall, Room142. Trzeciak is the deputy director of the Cyber Risk and Resilience Center at CERT and the Director of the CERT National Insider Threat Center at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute. - Cybersecurity Event: From Cause to Action: How Causal AI is Transforming Marketing and Beyond, April 14, 12:30-2 p.m., Smith Student Center Ballroom or Zoom. This event will feature students presenting real world case scenarios, live software demos and applications to address cybersecurity challenges, along with a presentation from expert guest speaker Kaihua Ding, the director of data science and AI at AstraZeneca. - Training Session: Capture the Flag Exercise with Alex Grinberg, April 23, 4-9 p.m., Spotts World Culture Building, Room 111. Grinberg is the founder and guildmaster of Hackers Guild and he will guide participants through exercises that bolster practical, real-world hacking skills. Register online.
