SRU President Karen Riley appointed to Pennsylvania-Ireland Trade Commission

Slippery Rock University President Karen Riley has been appointed by Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro to join the Pennsylvania-Ireland Trade Commission, which was recently established through legislation passed by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.

Riley has joined the commission that consists of approximately 15 legislators and business, education and community leaders across the state. They help promote business and academic exchanges between Pennsylvania and Ireland and support other economic initiatives related to trade, investments and policy issues of mutual interest between the Commonwealth and the European country.

Along with her appointment to the Rural Population Revitalization Commission, Riley continues to advocate for Pennsylvania’s economic interests and enhancing the lives of its residents.
