The SculptureX Symposium at SRU featured art created by faculty and student artists from across western Pennsylvania.

Sculptures created by professors and students from across western Pennsylvania were on display at Slippery Rock University as the Martha Gault Art Gallery hosted the SculptureX Symposium, Jan. 20 to Feb. 13. The symposium, titled “THE FAKE—authenticity in the 21st century,” featured work by 24 artists from Seton Hill University, West Virginia University, PennWest Edinboro and SRU, showcasing an array of physical mediums and unique perspectives.

Since 2010, SculptureX is a teaching and networking platform for art educators and students at included institutions. SculptureX fosters an “exchange” of faculty expertise in design, art education, art history, criticism and curatorial practice between institutions.
