Members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly experienced why Slippery Rock University is a first-choice institution. SRU invited and welcomed several legislators from both political parties and their staff to campus for a Legislative Breakfast, Feb. 13, in the Campus Success Center.
Nine legislative districts were represented at the meeting. SRU President Karen Riley provided updates about the University and its strategic plan, followed presentations from three SRU students, a Q&A session and closing remarks by Angèle Stoebener, chair of the SRU council of trustees.
Other local government and civic leaders attended as well. Guests also toured the recently opened and renovated Campus Success Center.
