After welcoming new students to campus on Aug. 21, Slippery Rock University’s Week of Welcome festivities continued with a bevy of activities. Day two gave students a chance to connect to their new community with offerings like special breakfasts for commuters and transfer students, orientations and informational sessions for academic programs, and Step Up! training to give students the tools for a successful safe, and healthy experience at The Rock.
Highlights of the day included New Student Convocation in Morrow Field House; the SRU Cookout in The Quad, which featured cookout favorites, giveaways and yard games; and Greek Life’s WOW Carnival at Old Thompson Field.
