Bright named Member of the Year by the American Therapeutic Recreation Association

Heather Bright, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of recreational therapy, received the Member of the Year award at the American Therapeutic Recreation Association conference, Oct. 12-15, in Kansas City, Missouri. The award recognizes a current and active member who has made a significant contribution through exceptional committee work that supports and advances the recreational therapist profession.

The ATRA is the only national membership organization representing the interests and needs of therapeutic recreation specialists, also known as recreational therapists.
