Preston named president-elect of the Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators

James Preston, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of elementary education and early childhood development, was recently named the president-elect of the Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators. Preston will serve a six-year term on the executive board and will chair the PAC-TE’s Government Relations Committee which works closely with the Pennsylvania Department of Education on teacher education-related matters.

The PAC-TE is a professional organization that acts as a leader in advancing equitable, inclusive, exemplary professional educator preparation through dynamic partnerships, advocacy, research, professional development and dissemination of evidence-based practices in pre-K through higher education.
