Alessia Zanin-Yost, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of library systems, received a grant of $2,000 from the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Medical Library Association Research and Assessment Committee to investigate the knowledge, consumption and perceptions of phytomedicine of consumers living in the United States and Italy. Phytomedicines are herbal medicines with therapeutic and healing properties.
