Strahler earns Campus Compact community engagement credential

Doug Strahler, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of strategic communication and media, recently completed the Campus Compact’s Community Engagement Professional Credentialing program and has been recognized as a Certified Community Engagement Professional.

Over the span of two years, Strahler earned credentials in five core areas which include community engagement fundamentals, community partnerships, supporting engaged faculty development, community-engaged learning and teaching and equity and inclusion.

Campus Compact is an organization that provides civic and community engagement professionals with opportunities to earn formal recognition for the knowledge and skills they develop throughout their careers.
