Cheerleaders in the parade
Bringing the spirit to the streets, members of the SRU cheerleading squad lead the Homecoming parade with energy and Rock pride to begin festivities on Oct. 18.

The Slippery Rock University campus was alive with energy, pride and celebrations during Homecoming weekend, Oct. 17-18. The entire community came together for this tradition, and, in following this year’s vintage theme, the event was indeed one to remember.

Highlights included the pep rally, the annual parade down Main Street in Slippery Rock, the crowning of the Homecoming royalty, and, of course, the football game and alumni tailgating parties.

This year’s Homecoming royalty were Amariah Morgenstern, a senior modern languages and cultures majors from New Wilmington (Wilmington HS), and Colby Patrick, a senior secondary education-social studies major from Wexford (Pine-Richland HS).

Below is an image gallery of all the sights and activities.
