Slippery Rock University’s Center for Cybersecurity and Advanced Computing will be hosting a Cyberspace Event 12:30-2 p.m., Nov. 25, in the Smith Student Center Ballroom or via Zoom.
The event is a collaborative, campus-wide security event including presentations from cybersecurity experts and student presentations of real-world case scenarios, live software demos and applications to address cybersecurity challenges.
This event is free and open to the public, and those wishing to attend virtually must complete the online registration form in order to receive the Zoom link.
This year’s event will feature James Marsteller, the current Cybersecurity Community Lead at the Pittsburgh Supercomputer Center with Carnegie Mellon University. He has served as the chief information security officer at PSC for 15 years, as well as serving as the director of security and compliance at Penn State University and more. Marsteller will be giving a talk on careers in cybersecurity.
