Cassandra Eisenreich, a Slippery Rock University associate professor of music, has released an album titled “Anthems of Dialogue” with her contemporary flute ensemble BETA Quartet. This album’s release represents major milestone in the ensemble’s artistic journey as it celebrates a decade of collaboration.

The BETA Quartet consists of Eisenreich, Eftihia Arkoudis, Meg Brennen and Tatiana Cassetta.

According to the BETA Quartet, the album is driven by the “belief that music can foster meaningful exchange in a world defined by division.” It explores perspectives both personal and global, featuring reflections on themes of social justice, conflict, environmental concerns and human resilience. The goal of this project was not to present a single viewpoint, but instead to craft “space for multiple voices and experiences to coexist.”

Alongside the ambitions of this specific project, the BETA Quartet’s prevailing goals as an ensemble are to “reimagine the flute quartet paradigm” through the innovative fusion of classical and contemporary musical traditions through improvisation, inclusion of multimedia elements and collaboration with composers.

The album is available to stream on all major platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube
