Money.com has once again named Slippery Rock University one of America’s Best Colleges for 2026. Money evaluated more than 2,400 four-year higher education institutions across the country, selecting SRU to its list of 735 Best Colleges. SRU stood as a top performer based on key metrics of academic quality, affordability and student outcomes.

Using data such as graduation rates, net price of a degree, loan repayment rates, graduates’ earnings and economic mobility, and other “value added” calculations, Money measured a school’s actual performance against its predicted performance.

Money awarded SRU a 3.5 out of 5 stars rating, marking the University as one of the top-performing institutions in Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education. SRU currently outranks several regional institutions on value and outcome metrics, including Robert Morris University and Duquesne University, and it received the same rating as the University of Pittsburgh.

SRU’s cost of attendance per year is $24,516 for full-time undergraduates from Pennsylvania.
