Welcome to a new semester at Slippery Rock University!

Whether you are returning from Fall 2025 or joining us for the first time, I am excited to welcome you to a new beginning. To our returning students, I hope you come back renewed and ready to build on the progress and successes of last semester. To those who are new, we are honored that you chose SRU, and we are confident that this community will challenge, support, and inspire you.

The rhythm of university life is unlike any other. Each semester offers a fresh start—a chance to learn something new, set bold goals, and redefine what is possible. We measure time differently here: first hour, exam week, spring break, graduation. This unique cadence brings challenge and pressure, but it also brings opportunity and hope. Rarely outside of higher education do we have the chance to begin again so often. At SRU, every term is an invitation to grow, to lead, and to transform potential into reality.

Wherever you are in your college journey, please make the most of your time here by engaging with all the resources, opportunities, and—most importantly—the people available to you. Ask for help when you need it. Look out for one another. Be kind, offer grace, and brighten someone’s day with a simple hello and a smile. 

Our ultimate goal is for every student to reach their full potential. Even more importantly, it’s to strive to leave this semester better than you began it, and help others to do the same. Enhancing lives is part of our mission, and we are here to help you reach your goals.
