Megan Stover, a Slippery Rock University senior art major from Conneaut, Ohio, earned the President’s Student Art Award in Residence for the Spring 2025 semester. Stover was selected by a committee of SRU Art Department faculty members to have her art displayed in foyer of SRU President Karen Riley’s on-campus residence.

Each semester since Fall 2023, an SRU art student has had their art selected for the award. Stover’s two acrylic paintings, titled “Olive Tries Gardening” and “My Bookshelf,” represent her other hobbies and interests, including gardening, ceramics and reading, as well as cameo appearance by her dog, Olive. Her ceramics are also displayed in the foyer.

“I’m grateful and to have this opportunity for my art to be displayed,” Stover said. “It’s honor to receive this award and happy that more people can see my work.”

More information about the background of President’s Student Art Award in Residence is available on the SRU website.
