Charles Reilly recognized at hospitality and tourism conference

A Slippery Rock University student received an award for his poster presentation at a professional conference.

Charles Reilly, a freshman hospitality and tourism major from Export (Franklin Regional HS), earned an honorable mention for best student-led poster presentation at the 2025 NENA-CHRIE Conference, March 28-30, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Reilly competed against graduate and undergraduate students from large universities like Penn State, Temple and Virginia Tech, and was honored for his research skills, presentation, and passion for the hospitality industry. He led a presentation about the impact of internships.

The NENA-CHRIE Conference, part of the Northeastern North American Federation of the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education, was attended by hospitality and tourism professionals.
