Kari-Anne Innes, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of theatre, recently co-wrote a play titled “The Singer of Shanghai,” that was performed at the Textile and Industry Museum, July 18-22, in Augsburg, Germany. The play examines the life stories of Jewish refugees in Shanghai and aims to help young people connect with humanity in history and encourage students to educate others about important historical topics.
